Laura Beusse, principal of the new Horizon High School, has announced she is retiring at the end of the semester. She has spent 39 years in education.

Beusse posted this comment on her Facebook page:

“It has been my honor and privilege to work with so many truly amazing people – colleagues, staff members, students, parents, community members, etc. From starting as an English teacher in 1982 (inspired by Myrtle Hubbard), then serving as a technology resource teacher, to next being a high school assistant principal, then middle school principal, then high school principal and lastly a combination middle/high school principal, it has been gloriously wild ride and one that I am grateful for and have loved. If you were part of my journey in any way – thank you!”
