Ocoee senior guard Grant Riller beat out the likes of Winter Park's Elijah Farley, Oak Ridge's Antonio Blakeney and Evans' Kerry Blackshear to be named the Orange and Osceola Counties Player of the Year by members of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA).

The standout guard, who is signed to play his college basketball at College of Charleston, averaged 28.1 points per game, shot 57 percent from the floor, made 81 percent of his free throw attempts, while also averaging 2.8 assists per game to pair with 2.7 steals per game.

In a message to his players to announce Riller's achievement, Ocoee coach Rob Gordon said, "On behalf of all involved with Ocoee Basketball, job well done, Grant Riller! We love you and are so very proud of you."

Ocoee finished a breakout season with a 21-5 record — good for the first 20-win season in program history.
