At about 4 p.m. June 3, members of the Windermere Police Department executed a search warrant at 2720 Tryon Place in the Manors subdivision, the residence of Scott Randolph Bush, Police Chief Dave Ogden said.

"The purpose of the warrant was to recover weapons inside the residence in relation to a crime and in violation of a court order," Ogden said. "Four handguns, handgun magazines, various ammunition, a bullet proof vest, marijuana and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia was recovered."

Ogden said police arrested Bush, 23, pursuant to an arrest warrant of an aggravated assault charge, and Steven Swatkowski, 21, on charges of resisting a police officer related to the execution of the warrant.

Bush was among cases some accused former Windermere police Chief Daniel Saylor of avoiding in a possible corruption case, along with a case against Bush's father, Scott Frederick Bush, who was convicted in 2013 on charges of sexually abusing multiple minors.
