Orange County is evaluating fair, effective and affordable options to help fund stormwater needs.

One option the county is considering to address localized floods, implement drainage improvements, improve maintenance of stormwater infrastructure and increase water quality protection is a stormwater utility fee.

The fee would be a non-ad valorem item on the property TRIM notice to start collection for the 2028 tax year.

The county wants to hear from residents and is asking people to take a survey to share their thoughts.

The survey can be taken online
