Archie F. Pyles, 81, of Clermont, Florida, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Archie was born on June 21, 1933, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of William F. and Virginia P.  Pyles. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating high school. 

Archie was employed by Weirton Steel Mill for 19 years before moving to Pine Hills in 1972. He was a regional manager for a pool chemical company. He moved in 1988 to Clermont, where he retired and spent the remainder of his life doing what he loved — playing music, driving his 1936 Ford and enjoying life with his family and friends. 

Archie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beverly; children, Sherry Tingler, of Winter Garden, Mike Pyles, of Orlando, Joe Pyles, of Groveland, and John Pyles, of Winter Garden; brother, Don Pyles of Tennessee; grandchildren, Melissa Ngala, Jeff Tingler Sean Pyles and Kate Pyles; and great grandchildren, Sarah Tingler, Nathan Ngala, Isaac Ngala and Jason Tingler.

A Celebration of Life Gathering date is pending at Becker Funeral Home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Florida 32778.
