GOTHA -- An armed carjacking led to a police pursuit of a stolen four-door sedan that ended in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha.

At about 11:28 p.m. May 5, Deputy Matthew Shaw of the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to a carjack victim, who said she was standing in her driveway near her car at 11:20 p.m. in the 6100 block of Gamble Drive in Pine Hills.

As the owner unloaded items from her car, two male suspects approached from the street. One pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her and yelled, "Gimme your keys!" she said, with the other man seeming to act as a lookout.

The owner relinquished her keys and stepped away from her car. The two suspects entered her car and began driving west toward Powers Drive.

Deputy Matthew Bishop spotted the vehicle in Ocoee near the intersection of Good Homes Road and West Colonial Drive, based on a description received by radio.

Bishop and responding units began a pursuit of the vehicle and apprehended it and the suspects in the Woodlawn Cemetery at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road.

Shaw transported the owner to the cemetery, where she said she believed the apprehended suspects were those who had stolen her car.

Deputies arrested the two suspects, both younger than 17, on charges of carjacking with a firearm.
