Six Orlando West Academy students were taken to a hospital after an SUV rear-ended the school bus in which they were riding this morning at Clarcona-Ocoee and Pine Hills roads.

According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Angela Randle, 50, of Orlando, was traveling eastbound in a 1998 Ford SUV on Clarcona-Ocoee Road in the right-turn lane behind the school bus, driven by Garey Smith, 50, of Orlando. Smith stopped for the red light at the intersection with Pine Hills Road, and Randle struck the rear of the bus.

Six children — all with minor injuries — were taken to an area hospital. Randle was cited for careless driving.
