OAKLAND Residents, friends and community members gathered Saturday, June 11, at the Oakland Town Center to enjoy an evening filled with music and live art at the 10th annual Town of Oakland Arts & Music Festival. Presented by the HAPCO Foundation — which supports art and music education in the community — the free festival serves as a way to give back to the community and show appreciation for the fine arts.
Nine artists and bands performed between 3 and 8:30 p.m., and four artists — including three Florida Highwaymen — set up in the town center to display their artwork and perform live art. Performers included Silkee Smoove, Justin Felton and the PRAYze Team, The Next Gen Jazzlet and Pocket Change.
