GOTHA Chabad of South Orlando helped the community celebrate Lag Ba’Omer — a festive day on the Jewish calendar, celebrating the anniversary of the passing of the great sage and mystic Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, according to Chabad’s website — Thursday, May 26 with an evening filled with family fun at Camp Gan Israel Campsite in Gotha.
Families and the Jewish community celebrated by enjoying a barbecue dinner and festive music, and the kids got to play on an inflatable slide, along with archery and other games set up at the site.
