Oakland Commission to meet Tuesday, July 25

A number of public hearings will have their second reading at this meeting.

The Oakland Town Commission will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the Town Meeting Hall.

The agenda will include a resolution to allow the town to move forward with soliciting a contractor to build the Oakland Art and History Center.

In addition, the second readings and public hearings will be held regarding changing the zoning and granting a special exception for a bed-and-breakfast with a wellness retreat center.

Too, discussion will be held concerning the roughly 73 acres on Hull Island Drive that are scheduled for development.

The agenda also includes discussion of the tentative millage rate and the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2018.
