First Reading: State Road 429 Overlay District

Tonight, the Ocoee mayor and commissioners will vote on the first reading of a proposed ordinance that seeks to establish special development standards and prohibited uses for the State Road 429 area. This ordinance is related to a multijurisdictional project between the cities of Winter Garden and Ocoee that aims to link both of cities' downtowns together and help each City reach its economic development goals via the use of Character Area Plans that will guide architectural and building designs of any future development.

Second Reading: New 4 Locos Tacos restaurant

Ocoee commissioners will discuss a proposed ordinance pertaining to a 4 Locos Tacos restaurant on 0.60 acres of property located north of West Silver Star Road and west of Bluford Avenue. According to city documents, the parcel previously was used to house a single-family residence. The applicant, who is working with city staff on a building design for the proposed restaurant, is requesting a rezoning to from low-density residential to commercial.

Any residents with concerns or questions may contact City Hall at (407) 905-3100.
