WINTER GARDEN – Firefighters responded to a home that was on fire Sunday, Oct. 1.

A nearby resident called 911 around 2:30 p.m. when they noticed the home was on fire, said Orange County Fire Rescue spokeswoman Ngoc Huynh.

The home, located between Christopher and Trumbo Streets in Winter Garden, was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters from Orange County, Winter Garden and Ocoee arrived to the scene, Huynh said.

No one was inside the home or injured, she added. The fire has been extinguished, but firefighters are monitoring the structure due to hot spots.

An investigation is being conducted into the possible cause of the fire.
