The West Orange volleyball team, this week’s Observer Preps Team of the Week, is closing in on a perfect regular season.

The Warriors, who are 19-0 as of Oct. 9, have three games remaining on the schedule next week before district tournament play begins Oct. 16. The Warriors have make-up games against Evans (7:30 p.m. Oct. 10) and Wekiva (7 p.m. Oct. 12) from Hurricane Irma, between which is the team’s scheduled Senior Night game at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 against new rival Windermere.

West Orange swept away Spruce Creek (13-6) and Timber Creek (9-9), continuing one of the most impressive trends about the team’s season: the Warriors have not lost a set since Sept. 16.

In total, West Orange has lost just three sets this season, with the other two set losses coming in a five-set victory against The First Academy Aug. 29.

The Observer Preps Team of the Week feature is presented by State Farm Insurance Agent Jo Barsh.
