Olympia High School alumnus Jacari White signed with Windrose Giants Antwerp in Belgium for his rookie year of professional basketball.

Antwerp, the most recent Belgian league champions, announced White’s one-year contract Sunday, July 5. It came after White had signed to play in the NBA Summer League for the Los Angeles Lakers but opted not to play in the team’s season.

White, a Class of 2021 graduate, balled out his senior year of college at the University of Virginia, leading the team with 69 3-pointers. His season-high of 26 points came in Virginia's first-round NCAA tournament win over Wright State. He also set a school record by making 12 3-point attempts in a row over a three-game time frame.

His European basketball career will begin at the Giants’ opener Saturday, Sept. 26, against the Landstede Hammers.
