Our Cause 4 Paws Rescue in need of community help

Our Cause 4 Pets Rescue is struggling financially. 

According to the nonprofit, this year has taken a toll on its finances due to several unexpected vet costs. 

"When we take dogs into the rescue, it is our responsibility to care for all the needs that comes with them," pet rescue officials said. "Many dogs come in with no major issues just needing vaccines, spay and neuters. However, it’s been more than that lately. We are halting in taking in new dogs. That makes us very sad as we know so many need our help. But until we can get back on our feet, this is what we must do. Plus we must cover the every day care of the ones that are currently in our rescue. This includes their vetting, food and monthly preventative meds." 

Because of its struggle, Our Cause 4 Paws Rescue is asking for donations through its website, oc4pr.org or through Venmo, @OC4PR. 

"Though our hearts are still filled with the desire to continue our mission we may not be able to much longer," officials said. "We also have a major surgery scheduled this month that we have to do though there are no funds."

Currently caring for more than 15 dogs, team members said no donation is too small to help tend to them.
