Body removed from Ocoee retention pond

The Ocoee Police Department is investigating the discovery of a body pulled from a retention pond Thursday afternoon.

OCOEE – The Ocoee Police Department on Thursday afternoon discovered a decomposing body in a retention pond located at the northeast corner of Franklin Street and State Road 429.

Police officers found a fully-clothed white male floating in 18 inches of water approximately eight feet from the pond’s shoreline, said Ocoee Police Deputy Chief Steve McCosker.

McCosker added there were no obvious signs of injury on the body, and there are no missing person reports that match the body’s description.
