A market featuring the works of local artisans will be heading to the Town of Windermere just in time for the holiday season.

The Holiday Makers Market will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, at The Pines at Windermere; 3409 Maguire Road. Admission and parking will be free.

“The Holiday Makers Market is excited to return to Windermere,” said Maria Murphy, who is the director of the Holiday Makers Market.. “Our amazing makers and artists have been working hard all year to bring you one of a kind pieces and favorite holiday finds that are made locally in Central Florida. We will have food trucks serving delicious treats for lunch on the lake, make and take workshops and a holiday photo station. It's an event that will be fun for the whole family.”

Market-goers looking for unique holiday gifts will be able to peruse the works of a variety of local artisans. Those who arrive hungry — or those who work up an appetite while shopping — will be able to grab a bite from one of the food trucks that will be there. The market also will feature make-and-take workshops, a holiday photo station and festive holiday music throughout the day. Tables and chairs will be set up so attendees can relax by the lake. Additionally, the market will feature a Young Makers show for upstarting artists under the age of 18.
