The graduating Class of 2020 at Windermere Preparatory School is one that will be remembered for generations to come. Senior year was definitely a blindside for everyone, but the class quickly managed to move on and make the best of it. From winning Homecoming week in October to going on the senior trip to Europe shortly after, the class realized it was still able to do most of the activities as seniors one last time together. The shock of the coronavirus was definitely a bummer for the class, but the memories that were made just at school every day make up for it. From sitting in the courtyard between classes with friends to eating the fresh, warm cookies in the school store at lunch, final memories were being made on the last days at Windermere Prep when we least expected it. From all the activities that occurred over the year, the class managed to really unite this year especially. While we all anticipated the rest of the fun activities being a senior at Windermere Prep has to offer, the school did a tremendous job making up for the loss of the rest of our year. One student from the class hand-designed T-shirts for the class and delivered them to each senior, and parents from the class brought each senior treats as they had online classes throughout the week. The environment at Windermere Prep is one that is so unique from other schools. What is so unique about Windermere Prep is that every student has a different story to tell. Much of the class was raised outside of the United States and has come to America just to attend the school. The class is so diverse, which makes making new friends always exciting. From the athletes to mathletes, the class has it all.
