Teen missing in Lake Down after falling off jet ski

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has been searching the water since the Thursday night incident.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has had a boat in the waters of Lake Down in Windermere searching for a 17-year-old boy who fell off a jet ski and never resurfaced.

The teen and a friend were riding the jet skis about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 10, when they both fell off, according to deputies. Deputies responded to 9746 Wild Oak Drive, Windermere, to begin the search.

The friend was rescued and taken to Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. The search for the second teen continues today.
