Winter Garden City Commission to meet tonight

The City Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the City Hall Commission Chambers.

The Winter Garden City Commission will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St. 

Commissioners will hear an introduction from Jeff Boone, a moderate democrat for congress, and two proclamations from Mayor John Rees on Florida’s Water Conservation Month and World Autism Month and Awareness Day.

The city commission will then hear the first reading and public hearing of proposed ordinances relating to municipal elections, water and wastewater systems, and the expansion of the Orange County Lake Roberts municipal service benefit unit.

A non-ad valorem assessment to fund costs associated with city actions in rectifying and mitigating the deterioration of the Stoneybrook West Golf Club property, and the funding of repair and restoration of the stormwater and drainage management infrastructure and systems related to the Lakeview Reserve subdivision will be discussed as regular business items.
