Ocoee country singer Mark Houghton is hosting his second local music toy drive next week.

Houghton is asking residents to bring an unwrapped toy for a child in need while enjoying live music performances.

"I've been quite fortunate in my life to be at a good place after putting in hard work and I just want to be able to give back," Houghton said. "It's not for me and it's not for money. It's to give kids a good Christmas."

The musician hosted the first music toy drive last year at Front Row in Ocoee with a couple hundred attendees, and is hoping to grow the event not only this year, but in years to come.

Artists featured will include Houghton, Jess Emery, Blu Wave Band and Orlando Acro.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Graffiti Junktion Clermont, 2400 S. Highway 27, Clermont.

For those who cannot attend the event, toys can be dropped off by calling (407) 924-6756. For more information on the event, click here.

"I know how I felt when I was a kid and I had a good Christmas and the joy and excitement that brought," Houghton said. "I can't imagine kids not being able to have that and I know this will help."
