Orange County Public Schools announced late Tuesday that the 2021-22 school year will be the last full year for superintendent Dr. Barbara Jenkins as she will retire in December of this year.
Jenkins has spent 30 years with OCPS, and will open the 2022-23 school year before retiring at the end of the first semester.
OCPS said that a search for her replacement will begin with a work session on Feb. 15.
