Winter Garden City Commission to meet tonight

The Winter Garden City Commission will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St.

Commissioners will discuss voting district boundaries as well as amending the pension and retirement plans for general employees, firefighters, and police officers.

Regular business items include a resolution to adopt Orange County's local mitigation strategy, a resolution from the city of Winter Garden in support of the placement of a 1% transportation surtax referendum on the countywide ballot and a resolution to re-approve extension and modification of the Community Redevelopment Plan to extend the plan for 10 years.
