The Windermere Laker Aquatics members are working to host a new event in the local community.

The aquatics program is working with the Mac Crutchfield Foundation and the Rosen Aquatic and Fitness Center to put together the first Heart of Orlando Community Swim Lesson Day.

The Mac Crutchfield Foundation honors the life and passion of Mac Crutchfield, who tragically passed away in a drowning accident.

The foundation's vision is to inspire everyone to swim.

The foundation works to fund swim lessons and drowning prevention programs throughout the Southeast.

The free swim lesson day will provide the opportunity for swimming instruction to those who may not know how to navigate the water.

Those who are looking to volunteer at the event or would like to join the event as a sponsor can email [email protected].
