Vehicle crash kills one in Ocoee

The driver died after a single-car crash near Silver Star Road in Ocoee.

UPDATE: Ocoee police have identified the deceased driver as 21-year-old Taylor Lynn Wilber, of Sorrento.

 

Ocoee police officers responded to a call around 3:51 a.m. Monday, March 21, regarding a single-vehicle traffic crash near Silver Star Road and east of Ocoee Landing Boulevard.

Officers arrived on the scene to discover a single vehicle, on fire, that had crashed into a tree in the median. According to police, the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified, and family notification has not been made, so no other information is being released at this time, police said.

The Ocoee Police Traffic Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Ocoee Police Department at (407) 905-3160.
