County hosting multiple community meetings this week

Officials will discuss a proposed animal clinic, Avalon Road, a proposed neighborhood near Windermere High.

Orange County Government is hosting three community meetings to get public comment this week.

The first is from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Chain of Lakes Middle School, 8700 Conroy Windermere Road, Orlando. The meeting is regarding the rezoning of Luv n Care Windermere Veterinary Clinic, proposed for Conroy Windermere Road.

A second meeting is from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Independence Elementary, 6255 New Independence Parkway, Winter Garden. This meeting will be a review of a site plan, LUP-20-08-239, associated with a residential community coming near Windermere High School. Neighbors have had concerns about safety near the school.

The county is holding a third meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, for the discussion of County Road 545 (Avalon Road South). The meeting will be held at Horizon High School, 10393 Seidel Road, Winter Garden. An open house will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation and Q&A session with members of the county’s Transportation Planning Division.
