The Rotary Club of Horizon West recently partnered with Eight Waves to collect Halloween costumes for children in need.

Although the club had a goal of collecting 50 costumes, the organization collected a total of 75 costumes for children in the east Winter Garden area.

Eight Waves' mission is to "invest in the lives of children, youth and families who live in under-resourced communities by working together, building the healthy support systems they need to thrive, and empowering them to create lasting change in their own lives and communities," according to the nonprofit's website.

Sara Meyer, founder and executive director, took to social media to thank rotary member Terri Hatfield-Dull and her family for the collections.

"Her heart is incredible," she said speaking of Hatfield-Dull. "Thank you and the Rotary Club of Horizon West for helping local students! Let's make some kids happy!"
