Winter Garden hosting commission meeting and budget hearing tonight

The Winter Garden City Commission will hold a regular meeting and budget hearing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St.

Commissioners will first host a budget hearing for Fiscal Year 2022-23 where a series of four ordinances will be discussed.

The budget hearing will be immediately followed by a city commission meeting where commissioners will talk over several rezoning ordinances at multiple property locations.

Regular business items will cover topics including the School Resource Officer program, construction by Reef Controls LLC, improvements by Cathcart Construction Company, a special exception permit and agreement to remove billboards and construct a new double sided billboard on property located at 12201 West Colonial Drive, and the recommendation to approve several special events.
