The town of Windermere has announced the cancellation of its 2023 Spring Fling.

The event has been canceled due to inclement weather.

"This decision comes due to severe weather forecasts, including hail and thunderstorms," the town said in a prepared statement. "Safety for staff, volunteers, vendors and guests is always our top priority."

The annual memorial event is held by the Windermere Police Department Foundation in honor of Officer Robbie German.

A new event has been scheduled for October in conjunction with the Windermere Brewing Company.

The new event will include bounce houses, face painting, craft beer, live music and food trucks.

The town will be announcing more information in the near future.
