The city of Ocoee will celebrate Lunar New Year with a traditional lion dance performance at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at Ocoee City Hall, 1 N. Bluford Ave., Ocoee.

According to host Dave Tran, the lion dance — to be performed by the Dynamics Lion Dance Team — is one of the most important traditions for the Asian Lunar New Year. It is performed to bring prosperity and good luck for the upcoming year.

The celebration will take place before the scheduled Ocoee City Commission meeting.
