The Dr. Phillips Little League seniors baseball team — or 16U division — became state champion after defeating North Springs Little League 8-2 Sunday, July 9, at St. Augustine Little League.

The team will represent Florida at the Southeast Regional Tournament that will start Saturday, July 22, in Safety Harbor.

The winner of the tournament will advance to play at the World Series tournament.
