Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co. filed for bankruptcy Friday, Nov. 10, less than two weeks after company representatives from the Horizon West brewery took to social media to announce the closing of the location Sunday, Oct. 29.

The bankruptcy report lists $1 million to $10 million in assets and $1 million to $10 million in liabilities.

"The only things we love more than beer here at Persimmon Hollow are our team members, guests and partners," the social media post on the closing read. "We are sad to announce that we have made the difficult decision to close our location at Flamingo Crossings. We would like to thank our team, our guests, our landlord at Flamingo Crossings and all our vendors for accompanying us along the ride at this location."

The brewery hosted its grand opening event less than two years ago June 25, 2022, at Flamingo Crossings Town Center, 140 Sugar Belle Drive.

The business was known for its craft beer and a variety of food options.

The first location opened in 2014, and the company's beer can now be found in taps and on store shelves throughout Florida.

The Horizon West brewery was the third location.
