Dr. Phillips' Maran Harris commits to Naval Academy

Harris will join the Midshipmen’s track and field team as a pole vaulter.

Dr. Phillips High three-sport athlete Maran Harris has announced she will continue her athletic and academic career at the United States Naval Academy as part of the Midshipmen’s track and field team.

"I am incredibly blessed to announce my commitment to continue both my academic journey and pole vaulting career … at the United States Naval Academy!” Harris wrote in an Instagram post. “This journey has been filled with challenges, but the Lord has provided every step of the way, opening doors and shaping a future I can use to glorify Him.”
