Tara Wardle attended Windermere Wine & Dine for the first time with Jennifer Tinn and Carla Vitaliano. Tinn said the event is her favorite event of the year. "We would never miss it," she said.
Val Doyle and Leigh Doyle with Ellie Lou's Brews and BBQ served up chopped smoke pork, smoked chicken wings and blue cheese coleslaw. Ellie Lou's Brews and BBQ was one of several food vendors at Windermere Wine & Dine.
Nelson Pinder III, Davis Lake, Nathan Sturgess and Bonnie Booth said the food at Windermere Wine & Dine was fantastic.
Jane Hartgrove traveled from Denver, Colorado, and attended Windermere Wine & Dine with her friend Sue Gilman, who has been attending the event for years. "I love it. I'm impressed. I want every community to do this," Hartgrove said.
Vince Carter and Sondi Carter were trying to decide which vendor to check out next.
Kathleen and George Roat said Windermere Wine & Dine has been "getting better and better every year."
Hallie Welch, Cindy Jo and Deanna Aboud said they'll be back for Windermere Wine & Dine. "The food is spectacular. Even though some of the lines were long, they went quickly. There's a little bit for everybody," Aboud said.
Chris Srip and Alyssa Ali said the food at Windermere Wine & Dine was excellent.
Shannon Sewell and Cindy Sepulveda served wine from Gallo wines.
Mandy Gay and Erin Albert with Gingers Baking served up whoopie pies and king cakes.
Kevin Eye and Julie Eye attended their third Windermere Wine & Dine. "I feel like this is the best year yet. The samples of food and wine are amazing," Julie Eye said.
Dearbhla Pokhai has been attending Windermere Wine & Dine for at least four years. She finally was able to have her friend Katrina Parlow visit from Cocoa Beach and attend the event. "It's great. I love it. We'll be back," Parlow said.
Mayor Jim O'Brien spent time talking to several Windermere Wine & Dine attendees, including Katherine Bordelon.
Avery Buchholz and Bailey Burba enjoyed food from Old Hickory Steakhouse. "It's phenomenal," Buchholz said.
Melissa Torres and Maria Harrington received another glass of wine from Robert Zaun with Ethica Wines.
Kathy and Bob McKinley loved Windermere Wine & Dine. "It's a great fundraiser," Bob McKinley said.
Roger Gonzalez and Victoria Gonzalez struck a pose for a photo to commemorate Windermere Wine & Dine.
Dearbhla Pokhai has been going to Windermere Wine & Dine for four years, enjoying the plethora of food and wine vendors.
“I love the food, the pink drinks, and mingling and chatting with people who live here while raising money for a good purpose,” Pokhai said.
Pokhai said Windermere Wine & Dine has been so much fun over the years, she’s been trying to get her friend Katrina Parlow to visit from Cocoa Beach and attend the event.
This year was the year.
Pokhai and Parlow had a blast trying various food and wine at the 11th annual Windermere Wine & Dine Saturday, Feb. 1.
“It’s great. I love it. We will definitely be back,” Parlow said.
