Dr. Luke Elms at Orlando Health — Dr. P. Phillips Hospital celebrated reaching a milestone.

He has performed his 1,000 robotic surgeries since 2018.

Robotic surgery is used in minimally invasive procedures. Benefits to the robotic surgery include increase precision, smaller incisions and a faster recover time for patients.

Elms joined Orlando Health Medical Group in 2015 and operates as a surgeon for the Orlando Health Complex Hernia Center.
