New Horizon West Church begins construction

Construction for the new Horizon West Church is underway. 

According to the church's website, the land was first acquired in 2022. 

It is nearly 13 acres of land at the corner of Schofield Road and State Road 429. The property was said to be purchased in cash, for a debt-free outcome.  

The easiest place to see and access the property is driving southbound on State Road 429. 

At the Schofield Road exit, a large trailer with the words “Future Home of Horizon West Church" is shown. 

According to its website, construction will be done in two phases:

Phase one includes:

• 700 to 900 seat worship auditorium
• Two-story kids ministry center with classrooms 
• Parking lot and playground 
• Shared office space and meeting spaces 

The plans for phase two include:

• Cafeteria
• Worship Center with around 1,200 seats
• Multilevel building with classrooms
• Flex meeting space
• Additional Play areas and parking lot
