Bentonshire Park to celebrate grand opening in Horizon West

The grand opening will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at 7327 Bentonshire Ave., Windermere.

Orange County Commissioner Nicole Wilson will join Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings for the grand opening of the new Bentonshire Park in Horizon West. 

The five-acre park, located on Bentonshire Avenue at Overstreet Road, will feature several amenities, including a walking path, picnic pavilion, playground with two shade sails and a dog park. 

Bentonshire Park is a $1.8 million neighborhood park that is a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity and community spirit, Wilson said during the groundbreaking of the park April 1, 2024.

The grand opening, which is free and open to the public, is at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at 7327 Bentonshire Ave., Windermere.
