Orlando Health — Horizon West Hospital earns 'A' grade for patient safety

Orlando Health's Dr. P. Phillips and Health Central hospitals earned a 'B' grade.

The grades are in.

Orlando Health — Horizon West Hospital has received an 'A' in the spring 2025 reporting period for patient safety.

"We hold ourselves to the highest standards of safety and delivering quality healthcare for our patients, and these 'A' grades reflect that dedication," said Suzanne Worthington, chief quality officer for Orlando Health, in a news release. "In line with that commitment, we will continue to strive toward earning 'A' grades at all our hospitals."

Orlando Health — Dr. P. Phillips Hospital and Orlando Health — Health Central received a 'B' grade from the Leapfrog Group. 

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program exclusively based on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries that cause more than 500 mortalities per day nationally.
