Empower Teens United to host family workshop

The event will take place from 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at OCOM, 7011 Kiran Patel Drive, Winter Garden.

The Empower Teens United nonprofit is hosting an Empowering Families Workshop, where parents, guardians and students can come together to gain clarity, direction and confidence. 

According to the nonprofit's website, the event will take place from 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine, 7011 Kiran Patel Drive, Winter Garden. 

"Participants will engage in hands-on sessions, connect with experienced mentors and gain valuable insights to make informed decisions that open doors to future opportunities," the event's description said. "This workshop will guide families through the education system, help students navigate high school with purpose, and provide real tools to plan for college and future careers." 

During the workshop, topic such as mental health and emotional well-being also will be discussed.
