Legacy Events for Education provides gives scholarship to 27 West Orange County students

The organization gave out $21,000 in scholarships, an increase from $14,750 last year.

Legacy Events for Education had a record-breaking year in providing scholarships to students in West Orange County and South Lake County. 

The organization provided $21,000 in scholarships to 29 high school students, of which 27 were from West Orange County. The total scholarships increased from $14,750 last year. 

Besides the increase in scholarships, Legacy Events for Education also received the most applications in its history, making it the largest and most competitive in the Legacy Scholarship Program's history. 

The Legacy Scholarship Program started through the Wolverine Legacy Fund at Windermere High School in 2019. In 2021, the program expanded to West Orange County, and this year, the program was extended to schools in South Lake County.
