SOBO Art Gallery and the Winter Garden Art Association are hosting an opening reception for the gallery's newest exhibition.

"Florida Roots, Land, Light & Life" will feature local art inspired by Florida's idyllic landscapes, wildlife, culture, history and everyday life.

The reception will feature food from Market to Table, Florida-themed crafted cocktails and live music from Pocket Sand, which is a jazz fusion band.

The opening reception will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at 127 S. Boyd St. in Winter Garden.
