Fusion Core to host Friends and Family event

The event, which is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, will introduce people to the drum corps.

Fusion Core Drum Corps is inviting everyone to learn more about the organization during the Fusion Core Friends and Family event.

The event, which will include performances, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Wekiva High School, located at 2501 Hiawassee Road, Apopka.

Fusion Core is an all-ages drum corps.

The corps was a finalist in the All Age Circuit at the DCI World Championship Finals last season, which was its first season in Florida.

A pot luck meal to meet and interact with the corps' members will follow the performances. Attendees are invited to bring a dish to share.
