Fire at Horizon West apartments leaves residents displaced

A fire broke out at Horizon West's Buena Vista Place Apartments in the afternoon of Sunday, July 5. 

According to Orange County Fire Rescue, the fire was likely caused by a lightning strike to the building. 

The building was evacuated, leaving 21 people displaced and 10 units uninhabitable. 

According to OCFR, one person was transported to the hospital to be evaluated, while one other refused medical services. 

The American Red Cross was on scene helping residents who were affected.
