City of Winter Garden unleashes dog-themed art exhibit

The city of Winter Garden is embracing the dog days of summer quite literally.

The city will kick off its “Dog Days of Summer: The Ulti-Mutt Art Exhibit” with a Launch Paw-ty from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Winter Garden City Hall, Art in Public Places Gallery, 300 W. Plant St., Winter Garden.

The Launch Paw-ty for the “Dog Days of Summer Art Exhibit” offers a range of indoor and outdoor activities for both people and pups. 

Take your dog to this free community event for a tail-wagging good time and to meet your neighbors and their pooches. Y

Any leashed, vaccinated, well-socialized dog 3 months and older is welcome to attend this event and go inside City Hall while the exhibit is on view. Please monitor your dogs’ health and behavior, and attend responsibly.

EVENT ACTIVITIES
• Self-guided dog-friendly tours of the "Dog Days of Summer: The Ulti-Mutt Art Exhibit" inside the City Hall Gallery (no wet puppies, please).

• Meet & greet with the exhibit’s local Pawcassos (artists) and their four-legged models (Pup-arazzi welcome!)

• Doggie splash pads (must be leashed and accompanied by pet parent). Reminder: Bring a towel.

• Pooch photo station: Capture the paw-fect pose for a keepsake (be sure to tag @OfficialDowntownWinterGarden on your Instagram and Facebook posts). 

• Themed refreshments for both humans and canines.

• ”The Dogs of Winter Garden” Art Piece - add your (present/past) dog’s photo (max. 4 inches by 6 inches) to the exhibit’s visual display of our canine residents. (Take the photo to the Launch Paw-ty or anytime while the exhibit is on view through Aug. 31.) Photos cannot be returned.

• Dog-themed giveaways: Free Winter Garden merch for your pup (while supplies last).

• Raffle drawings for dog-themed gifts. Drawing will be held at 7:45 p.m. Must be present to win.
