If you’ve ever wanted to create your own Muppet-style puppet, this event is for you.

A puppet-making workshop will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at 625 Main St., Windermere.

Create your own furry monster and bring a playful new character to life. In this hands-on workshop, students will design and build a professional arm-rod-and-mouth puppet from scratch — no experience needed.

Choose your materials, cut, glue and assemble every detail to create a one-of-a-kind puppet full of personality. No sewing required — just creativity and a desire to have fun. All materials included. No experience necessary! Guest Artist will be Rene Rubalcava, owner and puppeteer of LV Puppet Studio of Las Vegas, who learned the art of puppet-making from Michael Earl Davis, a Jim Henson Muppeteer.

Ages 12 and older welcome. Kids ages 6 to 11 can join with an adult.
