OARS rower named to USA Rowing Under 19 National Team

Orlando Area Rowing Society's rising senior rower Maija Andert has been named to the USA Rowing Under 19 National Team. 

She will represent Team USA in the Women's Eight at the 2026 World Rowing U19 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from Wednesday, Aug. 5, to Sunday, Aug. 9. Andert, a University of Tennessee commit, will represent OARS as she races against top junior rowers from the world. 

"Representing your country at the World Championship is one of the highest honors in this sport and it's one Maija has earned through years of hard work, dedication and grit on the water," OARS wrote. "We are so incredibly proud of you, Maija and we cant wait to see you represent United States on the world stage."
