Dr. Phillips track sprinter breaks two personal record

Jaiden Smith, who also plays for the Panthers' football team, broke his 100M and 200M records.

Dr. Phillips High multi-sport athlete Jaiden Smith celebrated breaking two of his personal records during the track and field season. 

Smith, who also is junior wide receiver on the football team, broke his 100M dash time by running it in 10.58 seconds and his 200M time in 21.41. His accomplishments came during the 2026 Metro West Championship Friday, April 10. Since then he has competed in the FHSAA Class 4A, District 5 meet, where he placed first in the 100M and 200M. 

During the football season, Smith averaged 15.7 yards per catch on six receptions.
