Albert Settles took over the head coaching position of Central Florida Christian Academy boys basketball team two years ago. He entered an Eagles' program that had gone 6-19 in 2023-2024, but in the two seasons he transformed it.
Under his guidance, CFCA compiled a 46-15 record, reached the FHSAA Class 1A Regional Finals in 2025, and most recently brought the team back to the Final Four for the first time since 2019. Outside of team accomplishments, Settles also was awarded back-to-back Coach of the Year.
After the accomplishments, Settles won't be returning to CFCA's bench for the next season.
"These accomplishments mean a great deal, but what I treasure most are the relationships, lessons and memories built along the way," Settles wrote. "Thank you to CFCA, my players, my fellow coaches, our families, my parents and Jim Akers for your support, belief and investment in this journey."
The next step in his journey has not been announced.
