Sixth-grader Elora Shouse received an honorable mention in the museum's 2026 Student Surrealist Art Exhibition.

The Student Surrealist Art Exhibition is an annual juried art exhibition showcasing Florida middle and high school students' work that explores ideas and visions inspired by the work of artist Salvador Dalí and surrealists.

This year's theme was "The Surreal Self: Personal Symbols, Stories and Portraits," and students were asked to experiment with surrealist techniques.

The Dalí Museum will have a statewide student show through Sunday, Aug. 2.
