AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE

4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Chain of Lakes Middle School, 8700 Conroy-Windermere Road, Orlando. Join the American Cancer Society for its annual Relay For Life event. The fun, yet moving, event offers an evening full of events, from the opening ceremony and survivor and caregiver walks to the luminaria and closing ceremonies. AMERICAN LEGION VIETNAM VETERAN OPEN HOUSE

6:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the American Legion Post 63, 271 W. Plant St., Winter Garden. The post will recognize veterans of the Vietnam war at 8 p.m. with a pinning ceremony. The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act designates March 29 of each year as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. (407) 656-6361.

 

PINTS-4-PAWS “FUN(D) RAISING” EVENT

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Dead Lizard Brewery, 4507 36th St., Building C, Orlando. The Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips Citrus is hosting this event, which includes vendors, artists, music and pet rescue organizations. Proceeds will go to support local pet rescues (Polka Dogz, Pet Rescue by Judy, Husky Haven, Florida Little Dog Rescue and Greyhound Pets of America Greater Orlando). Donation requested of $10.

 

THE GREAT DUCK DERBY

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Mead Botanical Garden, 1300 S. Denning Drive, Winter Park. Gather up the kids and head out to The Great Duck Derby for a day of family fun at Mead Botanical Garden. The Duck Derby, a spring-time tradition, features little yellow rubber duck races and lots of fun, free activities. (407) 920-2070 for information.
